Travel Program

If you are interested in joining the Travel Program, please email the Travel Director.

The Travel Program allows players with advanced interest and abilities an opportunity to deepen their understanding of the game and to challenge themselves at a higher level of competition with players at the same level from surrounding towns. Travel teams may also compete in regional tournaments with teams from Massachusetts and other states.

Travel soccer is a more serious and competitive soccer program than Rec soccer. Teams typically practice twice per week. There is typically one game per week, usually on Saturday, but occasionally on a weekday. Game times vary with half of the games located at Home in Amherst and the other half of games are played as Away games. Away games may be played anywhere throughout the Valley (e.g. Agawam, Belchertown, Brattleboro, Chicopee, Longmeadow, Ludlow, Northampton, South Hadley, Southwick, West Springfield, Westfield, and Wilbraham). Seasons run from early September through early November and early April through June. Players are accepted for and expected to commit to both fall and spring seasons, although single season play is sometimes permitted to maintain full rosters.

Travel fees are $220 per player.  Lower rates and scholarships are available for children receiving free or reduced school lunches, as well as some others who would be unable to play without assistance.

Our goal is for any youth who wants to play soccer be able to do so. For this, we rely on the generosity of parents who can pay at the high end and make extra donations.
